After having worked together for over a decade, Kim Gouge and Steve Nelson were frustrated with the lack of companies specializing in small scale, home construction projects. In 2000, they decided to take matters into their own hands and founded The Deck Guys. Bringing a combined 60+ years of knowledge to the Northeast Kansas area, Kim and Steve have an eye for quality design, a focus on customer satisfaction, and an insistence on perfection. Our name may be The Deck Guys but decks aren’t all we offer. We work primarily in decks, fences and pergolas but we’ll take bid requests for any project our customers are interested in.
